The method and the person behind it.
Chaitanya Vinyasa was built from a simple observation, that most yoga had stopped asking questions.
How this method came to exist.
JoaĀ Gomezhas been teaching yoga internationally for over a decade, workshops, intensives, and teacher trainings across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
What he kept observing was the same thing in different rooms, different cities, different teachers. Yoga had drifted. Either toward performance, beautiful shapes, impressive transitions, the body as aesthetic object. Or toward abstraction, philosophy that floated above the body rather than moved through it.
Neither felt honest.
The body is not an aesthetic object. It is a perceptual instrument. And practice, real practice, is the process of learning to use it more consciously. Structure, breath, intensity, repetition: these are not goals. They are conditions. Conditions in which awareness becomes more visible, more available, more real.
Chaitanya Vinyasa was built around that understanding. A structured, documented, teachable methodology, with clear progressions, defined standards, and a philosophical foundation grounded in direct embodied experience rather than abstract theory.
The method is not finished. It is a living system, evolving through teaching, refining through practice, deepening through the teachers who carry it forward.
"The teacher is not the guru. The practice is."

What the name means.
Chaitanya. Living awareness. Consciousness. Aliveness, the kind that moves, breathes, and responds to what is actually happening.
Vinyasa. To place in a special way. Intentional progression. Movement with direction and purpose.
Together: consciousness placed with intention. Living awareness in deliberate motion.
The name is not a brand decision. It is a philosophical statement. Everything the method is about structure, breath, awareness, refinement, is already contained in those two words.

What this practice actually asks of you.
It asks you to slow down when the instinct is to push harder.
It asks you to observe when the instinct is to perform.
It asks you to refine when the instinct is to accumulate.
It asks you to stay present inside intensity rather than manage it from a distance.
These are not yoga instructions. They are invitations toward a different relationship with experience, one that begins on the mat and does not stay there.
The teachers who carry it forward.
Every certified Chaitanya Vinyasa teacher has completed a rigorous assessment process, not just accumulated hours. Teaching practicum, written methodology examination, and demonstrated embodiment of the method's core principles.
Certification is not the end of the relationship with the method. It is the beginning of a deeper responsibility toward it.

"The role of the teacher is not to impose shape. It is to organize experience."
